I’m Shannon.
A proud Sagittarius who enjoys mid-range walks on the beach, collecting unique amenity kits, and crafting mezcal negronis. I’m passionate about portraiture, plants, and pasteles. I’m a devoted mother to Selassie, my American Staffy, and a loyal friend to those who can handle a bit of unsolicited advice. I split my time between New Jersey and United biz class. I’m known for my unapologetic honesty and big heart.
As the founder of Parlour Travel, I am a dedicated advocate for solo weekend getaways. I thrive on creating unforgettable experiences for brands, playing at the dynamic intersections of media, tech, and storytelling. I’m currently making waves as the Global Chief Creative Officer at GOTHAM, after serving as US Chief Creative Officer at R/GA and collaborating with the inspiring McBride Sisters Wine Company. My work has been recognized with numerous awards, including Lions, Pencils, Webbys, and even an Emmy. I’ve proudly served on juries like the Cannes Lion Jury Presidency and as AICP Chair to help elevate others.
But what I’m most proud of is founding Toni, a community dedicated exclusively to Black women in advertising. I’ve also been honored in the AdWeek 100 and named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People In Business. And according to the under-30 crowd, I’m considered a pretty cool agency lead. And trust me, they’re a tough group to impress.
My motto: “You can’t fake fresh.”
My life goal: To be the cool, rich old lady dancing at a club somewhere warm.
